You’re right to ask! Timing is key for a beautiful and comfortable maternity photoshoot. Here’s why I generally recommend scheduling your session between 28 and 33 weeks:
- Your baby bump is perfectly showcased: At this stage, your belly has a lovely, round shape that really highlights your pregnancy. It’s prominent enough to be the star of the photos, but not so large that it becomes uncomfortable to pose.
- You’re likely glowing: Many women find they have that radiant “pregnancy glow” during this time. Your skin may be clearer, and your hair might be looking its best, adding to the overall beauty of your photos.
- Comfort is key: While every pregnancy is different, most women find they are still relatively comfortable and mobile between 28 and 33 weeks. This allows for a wider range of poses and makes the whole experience more enjoyable.
- Flexibility: Scheduling within this window gives us a bit of a buffer before your due date. This is helpful in case of early labor or any unexpected events.
Of course, every pregnancy is unique, and I’m happy to discuss your individual circumstances and preferences. If you’re feeling fantastic and want to shoot a bit earlier or later, we can definitely chat about that!
Ultimately, the goal is to capture this special time in a way that feels right for you. I want you to look back on these photos and cherish the memories of this incredible journey.
