If you’re looking for a photo session with variety — my personal recommendation near San Francisco is Moss Beach.
This location is stunning in almost any weather, which is especially important in the Bay Area. It is also typically quiet and not crowded, allowing for a very calm and intimate experience during the session.
One of the most unique features of Moss Beach is its soft, almost white sand paired with dramatic coastal textures and forest elements nearby. Even on an overcast day, the atmosphere feels incredibly beautiful and cinematic — often even more so than in full sun.
Just a short drive away, we can also include a second incredible location with completely different scenery — a lighthouse overlooking the ocean with dramatic cliffs and sweeping panoramic views. This combination allows us to create a truly diverse, 2-hour storytelling session with a mix of forest, beach, and iconic coastal landscapes all in one experience.
